The DP SHD PWB is mounted directly behind the CIS assy in the DP. The DP relay board is mounted to the MAIN PWB in the MFP and has the SATA cable running to it.

Assuming the CIS lamp check in MM061 doesn't come on I would start with the CIS lamp (Fig 5 PF Section 1, Item #1) and/or the DP SHD PWB (Item #6).

The DP relay PWB handles the CIS image data not the lighting so while the easiest to access, it is probably the last thing to try.

Just had the same code on a hidden damage DP-7110 which was dropped on its top but awaiting parts.

7901 Drum EEPROM error
No response is issued from
the device in reading/writing
for 5 ms or more and this
problem is repeated five times
successively.
Mismatch of reading data from
two locations occurs 8 times
successively.
Mismatch between writing
data and reading data occurs
8 times successively.
Drum unit 1. Confirm that the wiring connector is
firmly connected and, if necessary,
connect the connector all the way in.

2. If the wiring is disconnected, shorted or
grounded, replace the wiring.

Yes, but the most important error code is C3210, which blocks ARDF DP7110.


The code C7901 only appeared in the working machine when we installed the defective ardf, but it could be a code that came out of the bad luck of the moment.
When we restored the original ardf, the code C7901 did not appear again.

Hi. We are a Ricoh Dealer but also technical support to a Kyocera Dealer for his customers.
A customer has two Kyocera Taskalfa 3511i with ARDF DP-7110.
One of the machines has the error code C3210.
We put the working ardf in the machine that had the code and everything works perfectly.
If we put the other ardf in the working Taskalfa 3511i, the code C7901 was displayed.
We therefore preferred to restore everything to avoid new problems, identifying the error code in the ardf and not in the copier.

The service manual advises to replace the CIS unit.
From the parts manual, however, we are not sure which ones are DPSHD PWB and DP relay PWB.

Can you give us some advice?
Is it necessary to replace the CIS and the board, or can we solve the problem in another way?
The customer necessarily wants the DP-7110.
