    Taskafla MA3500ci DF separation problem.

Does any one know of a way to improve the separation performance of the Document Feeder?
Have a client that has to scan letters they get from their customers, they manually separate them the best they can before scanning.
But they still get the odd one multi feeding.
They have only just brought the machine and I would like to not piss them off just yet.

Ive seen on a brand new Ricoh 201 years ago, the little leaf spring under the sep roller was bad. It was not applying enough pressure. I havent dug into these Kyocera feeders enough yet but i imagine they have some sort of a spring pressure system.

Some times it's just the customer too. I had a lawyer, the one lady i couldn't make her happy. She just had crap originals.

I'm pretty sure those use a separation pad, not a roller set up. On the ecosys3655 model I have had a couple that I had to replace the entire separation assembly. For what ever reason a new pad just wouldn't do the trick. I never really looked into why.

There is a separation pad, I already adjusted the springs.
Talked to the Kyocera guy today and basically said nothing can be done to improve separation.
Sending the salesman back, it his problem now.
