    Kyocera 5052ci Scan Extension Kit

I have a customer looking for an off-lease 5052ci with the Scan Extension Kit that allows OCR scanning and editing. This isnt something we track on our service team, does anyone know if this would be listed on the configuration sheets if it was present? Just trying to find a quick solution vs pulling 20 copiers and looking for it physically.

Press the home key then device information. Select the option tab and scroll down to third page. It will show whether Scan Extension Kit A is installed or not.

It is also shown in the left column of the status page under option status.

Thank you. I actually see it listed on the status page print outs we do as well, that will be easier than pulling the machines and powering them on etc. I appreciate you pointing me in the right direction.

That’s a powerful too that kit. Allows clients that are archiving old files that might be a bit rough to load them sideways or upside down, especially if they have been hole punched or stapled. When configured to auto orientation it will rotate and straighten each page even if not using OCR. This saves a lot of time post scanning
