    KIP-3100 "CE error:7"

    Hi, All
I'm trying to restore pretty old KIP-3100, it semi-works: scans fine, prints (sometimes).
But sometimes it stucks with "CE error:7" message on the main (colour) display in KIP GUI. It may occur on any stage of printing.

I have service manual for this model but can nowhere find there what does "CE error:7" mean.
    Any ideas what's going wrong?
Hope for your help very much. 20240917_110018.jpg

    Let me answer myself
The problem was with Cutter, and small LCD screen displayed "040 Cutter error" message, but as I'm absolutely newbie in this machine, I just didn't find that LCD under it's cover.

So the solution is: if colour monitor with KIP software shows "CE error:7" just check LCD for 040 error and check Cutter. In my case it was jammed paper near cutter's motor which prevents it from running freely from right to left.

      Congratulations! Good catch.
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
