    [Error Code] Ecosys M6635cidn C-1010

Looking to ask if anyone else has had this issue and if a new lift motor will resolve
Also wanting t confirm part number is 302NV9401.
Symptom is cassette lift tray tries to lift but just get a clicking noise.
I don't have a lot of hands on with this product. I noted in the service manual that the procedure to remove the motor is labor intensive for parts removal.
I appreciate any and all replies.
    Thanks as always in advance.

I don't think the motor is broken. Check the gears in the cassette and in the MFP itself. Turn these gears by hand and check for broken teeth..

      Thanks for the reply.
I have some parts on order as suggested by Kyocera support. (Motor and a gear).
I will follow up when I have them installed.
      Thanks

Turns out the machine had more damage and a write off. Sent out for a better assessment.
Sorry for the long delay in responding,

We usually find that the right cassette guide that houses those gears will have one or more posts broken off, so the gears disengage, even though the teeth are intact. And yes, it is labor intensive.
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
          1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
          2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
          3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
          4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
          5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

We changed the lift gear that had a broken tooth. Then the customer is replacing the machine a month later. Not impressed.

To be honest it was not a horrible job but we did it in the shop. What killed us was the transfer belt making a clicking noise afterwards and we spent hours chasing that down thinking it was something we did.
Evil will always triumph because good is dumb.
