Sounds like a fusing unit issue.

The paper weight settings may be wrong.

Also check drum, is it just one color ghosting?

This is a symptom which was observed on early model transfer belts before the material was changed. When outputting the same image over and over there would be ghosting of actual image without background due to poor transfer belt cleaning.

          OEM Toner and Belt?

I like the idea of changing the media type settings to heavier stock and you might try turning on MM335 and bump the page interval up a couple steps to see if that reduces the load on the belt.

the fuser unit is good and I replace the transfer unit I'm going to replace the drum unit seeing they have had the copier three years but only a 178000 copies on it I also try the U161 fuser adjustment. thank you for all your suggestion I will take them into consideration and post my results

I find that series to be very picky to power. If you cannot find a resolution, try moving to another outlet. Be sure it is a clean outlet. Try it there and see if it clears up. Hope that helps.

We have solved this by putting the paper trays to 24lb.

The problem solve there three media types setting that you can change that make for the type of paper that be used in the copier type 1 is the default setting also the problem can be the fuser unit

I would be checking fuser and media settings for the paper or possibly drum. Does it do it on all colors?
