Hello everyone. First of all thank you all for the acceptation on this forum. This forum has helped me for the past years only now i have a problem that i cannot resolve in my own. I have a problem with the Kyocera Taskalfa 2552ci from my company. There is a loud noise while printing. Ik have the pickup roller ass. replaced. The one you can swap in each tray on the right and the noise still exist. I think the noise is comming from the bottem of right cover 1. The noise is only when printing from tray 1 and 2. When printing from tray 3 and 4 there is no noise. Anyone can help? There is a video on YouTube with the same noise only mine is a bit worse now.

Yes rubber kits are original.
I still had to figure out how to post a video because this is the first time for me on this forum. And since i managed to find a video with a similar sound i thought that might be enough. I now have a short on my YouTube from my printer with the noise. What i say in Dutch is: The pickup rollers in both trays one and 2 have been replaced by original parts. And when i open the side cover i point where i think the noise is coming from. I have already put small drops of sewing machine oil on the schafts and little bearings that i could see without pulling everything apart but that did not help either.

Unfortunately, due to the language barrier, it takes a little longer to find out what paper collection and drawer group mean. I can't find it anywhere in the English manual. drawer = tray? As far as I can see there are no rotating parts in the tray. And it seems like the noise is caused by something rotating. I'm going to change a tray tomorrow just to be sure. The good thing is, I have two Taskalfa 2552ci so I can swap parts. Only the biggest problem is everything I haven't replaced is screwed. Annoying. Unless I know what to unscrew. Then I dare to do that. I have two HP printers where you can just unclip everything. Unfortunately, that is not the case with Kyocera.Comment

Hello again! Well.. In the Netherlands we say: Nou breekt mijn klomp. So yesterday I spent some time on tray 2. I looked at it. I've been getting my fingers on some movable components for a bit. This morning I noticed that the sound was gone. I then grabbed tray 2 from the other printer and it no longer makes any strange noises at all. Is this a coincidence? Will the sound come back? Where did the sound come from? It remains a mystery for now. But your comment about the paper collection and drawer group has suddenly solved the problem. To be continued. Next week I will post a response whether the sound is really gone or whether the problem has returned. Thank you very much in advance!!!👍 1Comment
