    C2500 on 6501i

I have a 6501 throwing a c2500 error. I ran a U030 and it passed the motor test. When powering on it throws the c2500, unless the main cover door is open, once that door is shut and is running system checks it throws the c2500. The feed roller and drive gear rotate as they should. Any insight into this error on this machine is much appreciated! Thank you all!

I've had a shorted PF motor take out the PF PWB2 on a Gaia. The parts are the same.

If somebody has been working in the back of the machine recently, I would re-seat YC2 on the Feed PWB2 and YC4 on the engine board.

If that doesn't help, I would replace both PFM new style and Feed PWB2 at the same time:
    302K994332 PFM
    302N494170 Feed PWB2

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

The 01 series does not show a U287 in the manual, but on the 02 series I was able to reset this code using U287. Be sure to go back in and turn it off when you finish. This will reset many codes that a U906 will not reset. Hope this will help someone on the 02 series and later with the same issue. You can see if the 01 series might have this maintenance mode possibly through a firmware update.
