Perhaps the Katun toner has something to do with it?

Correct. That's not normal. You've got a primary charge loss, so it's consuming the toner faster than it's poured in. Make sure that the primary charge roller is properly installed, maybe install a new drum unit if you have one. =^..^=

Oh sorry I should have mentioned that I've alrready tested another drum and gett the same error. Printer continues.

It take 2/3 of a toner cartridge to fill the empty developing unit. Install more toner and let it run. =^..^=

Thank you but I used a completely new toner cartridge and printer has already emptied the new one and it continues to do it with a second on and it filled the waste toner bottle. And I think its not normal that the drum is covered with toner.

Hello Colleagues,

after several Katun toners i had to replace the drum because of smearing. Then smearing again. I replaced the DV box with a new original Kyocera Toner. I started the new Developer function
in service mode. Now the machine runs and runs and has emptied the toner. All toner is in waste toner box. Drum has a toner film on its surface. New toner is nearly empty.

What could have happened. Please help its urgend.
