From what I'm reading the drive unit is next. I seem to remember Tony saying something about that. He's seen some cracked housings.

    Hey Blackcat
Hope you are doing well and Happy belated New year..😁

With the 53ci the TB was replaced but had no effect , this was the first component replaced.
I have the TB on the bottom of the list because the copier actually coded 5 minutes after a run when it was in an idol ready state.
This leads me to believe I am dealing with an electrical ,sensor issue or Firmware issue
Also it doesn't have any sensors or motors related to belt lift..
Also it can go for hundreds or even thousands of clicks before it code, so replacing a part doesn't tell me the problem is fixed and resetting the code sometimes requires waving a rubber chicken over the copier and patting ones stomach..

What makes this so strange is that this is happening to the same customer about the same number of clicks and history.
    Coincidence , red herring ?

    Thanks

Have you looked at the primary transfer belt unit?

    TA3554ci C2700

    Hi kids

I have one that has me a bit perplexed .
TA3554ci with a reoccurring C2700 code 300K clicks. The copier will code out randomly during printing and even when in ready mode.
Resetting the code requires the side conveying unit to be open and 906 .
    Firmware current
The copier will work for a day , two weeks and repeat.
The Belt drive unit was replaced 11 months ago and has been working OK with just a couple of 2700 codes in-between , now I'm back to the same pattern .
Getting ready to replace the drive .
Here is the strange part the customer had a 2053ci that started doing the same thing C2700 at about the same copy count and simply couldn't get it fixed to work reliably
It was replaced by this current one and it doing the same code at about the same clicks.
    First 200K no issues .
Yes checked the outlet and even have a line conditioner/voltage regulator.
Bad batch of sensors on the drive units????
    Any thoughts ?

    Thanks Much
Working...
