So previously a Ricoh technician, recently switched to Kyocera. With the Ricoh's, when printing in color, CMY are layered to create black. Is this true with Kyocera's as well?
Generally speaking, I am asking as I have a TASKalfa 306ci with a ghosting/repeat/double image issue. First occurrence is ~95 mm from the second occurrence which matches the drum circumference for this model. Occurs on every page, no fading from 1st to last page. However, it is happening on black and white AND color test pages. The only color ghosting is black which is causing me to scratch my head and wonder if Kyocera is using the black drum to print black, even on color prints. Alternatively, could be the separation/cleaning blade on the fusing unit.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.
