8060 cdn "Front Maintenance Cover Open" error

    Hello all,
First time poster and I want to thank ya'll in advance- there is some great information here.
I own an 8060cdn and had the waste collector full of toner, packed so the auger was stuck. I removed and cleaned per the service manual instructions and upon assembly get the aforementioned error upon start.

I read the linked thread and after going through the connectors one by one, came to the conclusion to replace the two pwb's that I unplugged (chasing the YC32 as the culprit). I have the parts arriving today and wanted to ask the community here for any tips and pitfalls when replacing the pwb's.

After reading the service bulletin it appears that the 8060 is not included in that, and I don't need to taper anything.

Asking for good thoughts and advice when doing hopefully a plug and play (more like plug and pray).

I'll post my results either way. Thank you!
I removed the main drive unit to clean the waste toner auger, due to noise, I followed the manual to the letter. When I turn the printer on it gives me the message " close maintenance front cover" and point toward the front lower cover. The cover is closed fine even if I activate the switch manually the message stays

Did you unplug the boards with the power on? If you were not getting the door open error before unplugging the boards and plugging them back in should not have caused the error unless you plugged them in with the power on.

It is not the board. You do not have something plugged in correctly.

I second this. Kyocera devices are real sensitive about wire harnesses being COMPLETELY and FULLY seated. I would turn the machine off and go through all of your connections and look for the obvious disconnected plug and also reseat ALL connections, making sure the connectors are pushed ALL the way in.

Yeah the 8060 was already modified. I fixed it by switching out the pwb . Thank though for the suggestion!

I seated the connectors fully and completely, checked and rechecked multiple times. It was the board.

I’m replying to that so others in the future will have the positive result I have had.

Having read through the previous threads that’s was the first second and third thing I did, and they were all seated correctly.

i must have damaged the board when removing first is all.
