I am refurbishing this copier for a custromer. I turn the machine off then insert the thumb-drive then turn machine on and the machine will ask if to recognize memory. Then boots up normally. This 3051ci has an IB-51 Wireless that may be affecting this. (The customer wants this and it is on the machine) Any suggestions. THANKS SO MUCH

What about U025 firmware update..also use the smallest capacity memory stick possible. -

Are the firmware files extracted, and on the root of the drive?
Is it a USB2.0 drive?
The firmware is 206MB extracted, so a 500MB to 2GB stick works nicely.
Is the USB port connected?
Does the machine recognize that same USB stick once it's booted up?
Are you sure it's the correct firmware?

1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
