[Misc] TASKalfa 5053ci Right Cover Ass'y

I have to replace a right cover assembly part number 302ND94744 as the customer damaged the multi purpose tray and some components within the assembly.
I wanted to ask if the service manual instructions are accurate for the removal and replacing of this item?

    Thanks in advance.

I've had a few of those doors off. It's the cable and linkage that's the tricky part.

But changing the whole door is a ton easier than splitting the inner & outer halves of the door, then getting it reassembled. I can't say that I've looked at the procedure in the manual until today, but yes it appears to be accurate. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

      Greatly appreciated as always Blackcat.
I will advise the outcome when the replacement comes in next week.
And I agree that the cable and linkage is a royal pain.

You can (and should) skip step 2 and go straight to step 3. Removing the spring as it shows is a pain and unnecessary. Once you remove the plastic clip you can firmly grab the arm, extending it slightly and slide it off the fulcrum pin.

2 Remove the hooks of the damper spring (a).
3 Remove the stopper (c) of the fulcrum pin (b). Slide the arm (d) in the direction of the arrow and detach it from
        the fulcrum pin (b).

it's super easy - once you've done it.
pop out the clear wire cover shield, unhook the two wire harness plugs.
open both lifting handles, and retract the door pins found inside by swinging them outward, then sliding them to the other side of their opening.
release the white plastic limiting-strap assy thingy at the front of the door.
CAREFULLY remove the white clip on the machine-side of the spring-loaded damper. DON't drop the clip, or you'll be cursing yourself and have to find it, plus it's an odd size so it's harder to find a spare. grab the damper with a glove or other hand protection, and push it sideways and against the spring tension, it should release from the machine, then you can release the tension by letting go slowly.
lift the door up and away.

Replacing the MP tray doesn't require removing or disassembling the door...
The whole thing attaches to the outside of the door, except for the wires that must be fished awkwardly through a passage to the damper-attachment area of the door where the plugs are found under a small cover.
Feel free to leave one of the three large springs out of the MP tray lifting plate while assembling. this will prevent the tray from deforming while idle under so much pressure, or even spontaneously disassembling itself!

Just to advise that I just got the right cover ass'y installed and appreciate the advice and help.
Also using as a complete part with manual bypass already installed made life much easier.
