Hi Guys, I have an opportunity to get a 300iX for free or darn near... is this machine any good? I don't know anything about the units history, no page count & it appears cosmetically nice, but that is al I know. A school has it, it was a working unit when pulled, they had money they had to spend, so they bought a new machine & this one has been sitting in a corner for almost 2 years.

Its like an upgraded km-2560 or 3560, so pretty reliable.

Yeah it's a Stratos. It's a close relative to the bullet-proof Falcon series. Solid machine, but you probably will not be able to scan to email, dated technology. =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
