    3253ci C2700

    Hi all

    Looking for help yet again..

CS3252ci with an intermittent C2700 code...
Code first happened 6 months ago Replaced TRANS belt no joy , replaced trans drive assy and it worked for 5-6 months..Code came back but would reset and work between 50 to 800 outputs , last couple of times I HAD to reset the code by pulling out the Trans belt and moving the white pressure leaves to home position.. .. would work for a couple of days..Last time it went down the copier wouldn't reset by on off switch , but with the side open , then on off and close.. . Tech support recommended new Feed image PCB . Worked for a day , code came back..
    Any suggestions

    Thanks again folks

Had one doing this brand new straight out of the box. Only fix was replacing the drive unit which contains belt release motor and sensor.

I will check the sensor , but I doubt it , only 15k after replacing the drive assembly and the copier seems to be running clean..I think..But I will definitely
          check it..

          Thanks

check and clean any debris that might be in the fuser separation spike strip which causes HV arcing. The arcing can interrupt the detection of the belt motor and cause the error code.

I remember reading about it too at some point in a bulletin, but those are not convenient for me to recall. had it happen a few times in early 52-series boxes, but now I keep the IH/separation areas more clean, and problems stay away.

It is definitely the belt separation motor.
We have replaced that motor with a similar one since there is no PN. for it.
New transfer drive Assy worked for 3 months, replaced the motor with a paper tray lift one from fs4100 and works to this day.
