    right cover open

Hello everyone. TA 307ci had a gear grinding noise. Followed tech bulletin 2R4-0030 to replace toner supply unit. On reassembling machine had a front cover open message. After troubleshooting (replaced both front cover switches) found front cover open/close connector on toner drive unit was disconnected. Reassembled machine and got a F040 error. Ribbon connector from Engine PWB to Main PWb was not seated properly.
Corrected that now machine displaying right cover open. Reconnected all connections for Main and Engine PWB. Front cover switches are working. However when I engaged the interlock switch for the right cover no joy. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    Check 24V0 power distribution

Right Cover/Front cover are powered by 24V0 rail from Power Supply to Engine PWB YC29 Pins 3 and 4.

24V0 from Engine PWB sent to RCSW on YC31 Pin 1, returns as 24V0 IL on YC31 Pin 2

Note the connection from switch to switch (Series Connected)

That was great advice. Retraced my steps and-installed the original interlock front switch, Working again. Thanks a lot!!!
