The Kyocera "02" Series copier seems like a good machine but what's up with the waste toner door latch ? I messed with one (door won't stay shut) for several hours today and could not find a good fix for it. I ordered some more latches. I am new to these machines. Does anyone have any suggestions for this other than using packing tape. Thanks so much for any comments !!!

If you have any parts machines, it's the same latch the bypass trays use on the ecosys machines. It's pretty easy to swap out.
Also, the door was changed and a rib was added as the original iteration warped. -

is your door actually failing to remain closed, or is the machine telling you to close it? Early on, some of the 02 series has a sensor flag that would stick, and the symptom was constantly displaying "Waste container door open". very different fixes...Comment

I had one, brand new machine, the waste toner bottle had a tendency to slowly walk out of the container until it pushed hard enough against the door to trip the door open message. Swapped the WTB itself, all good. Setup guys in our shop have seen this a few times.Comment
