    [Error Code] C6620 on TA9003i

FYi had C6620 pop up now and then on TA9003i [6months old done 480k] pointed to iH coil faulty or front and engine pwb fault... changed the iH coil first with no changed, mc would run up for a bit then throw error... had a hunch, so swapped out fuser and not seen error since.. very odd as must have been issue with fuser temp control feedback to engine pwb... one to look out for guys..

We had a pair of 8003 throw this code this week within a few days of each other in one of our northern divisions about 60 miles apart. Seems sus. We tried the fuser first with no luck. IH unit did fix the machine. Just out of curiosity i took the IH unit apart to see what failed (shaft was not broken, I didn't feel like pulling it apart)

The motor turns a shaft with copper plates on the back. This looks to be a very similar concept to the Ricoh heat shield in the fuser to keep the outside edges of the fuser from cooking when doing legal or Letter R paper.
The gear the motor turns has a little flag on the side with a sensor to detect the orientation of the roller. Im assuming the copper sleeve on the roller changes the magnetic field allowing it to heat the outside edges of the roller.

Just posting for anyone who might find this interesting or has a better explanation of how this actually works 😊
