[Misc] Recommendation for low volume mfp? 1,200 copies per month

Hi, I am looking for advice on a copier to use in an office that runs 1,200 copies/prints per month. Right now using a Kyocera Ecosys M4125idn. It is 4.5 years old, total counter is 63K. Katun toner has been used the whole time. It has a recurring streak (the tech has been out several times, it comes back). I have read the advice about switching to OEM toner, and I will do that. I work in the office, I do not work for the company maintaining it. If I do switch machines at some point, what is your recommendation for a Kyocera machine for this volume? Open to other brands too. Also interested in a recommendation for this volume that offers color.

Also, would it make sense to ditch the service contract and get a consumer model at this volume? I do need it to scan and I do run legal and ledger cardstock sometimes.
    Thanks!

I don't know how you'll use this advice, but I'll offer it anyway.

Most of the Kyocera tabletop devices run best at medium to high volumes. The machine ratings on the surface seem ridiculous, but with OEM supplies they can reach PM intervals. At low volumes consumables rarely make yield. If you're pricing your contracts based on maintenance intervals, you'll find that consumables get replaced much sooner at low volumes. I guess, I'm saying that they're just a poor fit for low volume placements.

For a low volume customer I'd place a Brother or Lexmark. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

      Thanks blackcat,
I looked through the brother and Lexmark offerings. The only one I found that can print on 216gsm ledger paper is this one. Lexmark CX730de
