Even feeding short edge there is a lighter density on the left side of the page about quarter in.

I have taken out all components and reseated them. All looked brand new and clean (as they are). Did clean the secondary transfer roller a little.

I also downloaded the service manual and have tried different maintenance options including changing the voltage for primary transfer.

Nothing seems to have made a difference. I have attached a screenshot of the service manual page for troubleshooting.

This machine was manufactured in 2022, if it was unused all this time would that degrade the components?

Is this still covered by warranty?

I will try contacting Kyocera next although I did sent an email not so long ago asking for access to the service manual, firmware updates, sources to buy parts/consumables, but have not heard back yet. Do they only deal with service providers and not end consumers?

CTN iS a great resource (except for bird brains posting politics). But the first thing I would do is contact Kyocera and start a warranty claim.

Unfortunately I have to go through the dealer of which there is none as it was purchased through eBay, probably a liquidator of some sorts.

Maybe a firmware update would help. The printer is running on 2RR_3000.003.102 2020.5.22

Where might one find updated firmware info for this printer? Or can someone check if an update has been released since and what it fixes?

Also, I noticed on the yellow drum there is an extra plastic strip that is not on any of the other drums. Does that belong there? It seems to be specifically added instead of being just for packaging/transport.

I also noticed the waste toner bottle filled after using just the starter cartridges and weighs more than two cartridges. Can this be? That's $400 of toner going to a landfill. That's not very "ECO"sys for me.

              A couple things to try:

Run Belt initialize in u469, this will reset the transfer unit values.

Check the grounding springs for the transfer unit in the front and inner cavity of the machine.

Those drums can be swapped with one from a good machine if you have one, but it sounds like you probably don't.

I have had the transfer HV board go out in the middle of a job, in the middle of a page. It printed the first 2 inches and then faded to about 10% density. Not as severe, but reseating any and all connections you can get to could also help.
