    KCPS - Connection Issues

Is anyone using here using KCPS?

For the most part, all works as it should with the exception of intermittent connection errors. The devices seem to lose connection to the server randomly and require a restart to connect again.

I was originally convinced that it was caused by sleep settings but I have tried a few configurations to no avail. We are turning off sleep mode altogether to see if it rectifies the issue temporarily but not an ideal long term solution.

Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this or has a solution?

    Hi ,

We also encountered this on Iris_2020_color

Do you have a solution for this problem yet?

      Hi,

All these issues seems to have been eventually resolved with FW. I'm not sure if the Iris Color devices were affected as we were running on Iris2 and Mebius.

Check the tech bulletins for your machine, the FW fox references KCPS DNS issue.

I was having issues today with a new install on 3 7054ci's. They would connect intermittently. It seems they use Enhanced WSD over SSL as part of their communication protocol. We turn all WSD off as well as IPV6 when setting up machines. I've run into the same issue with NW Fax, as it uses WSD as well.
          Hope that helps !
