I have four of these m2540dw mfps and each of them eventually starts jamming up after 1-2 pages.
I originally found the resolution is to simply wind up the spring an extra turn on the little paper sensor arm on the back side of the fuser.
for some reason this spring becomes weak and no longer presses the sensor arm back into place, or it begins bouncing and causing "jams".
if you open the back door, there is a flap you can fold out on the back of the fuser, the little arm I am talking about is there inside that flap.
today I had a repeat issue on one of the machines I already fixed previously, and so I wound the spring a second time around, and the problem was fixed again.
is there a permanent resolution to this issue? a bigger spring?
I do not even see mention of this issue anywhere, so i am surprised to see.
Does anyone else here with these machines run across this problem?
I assume it would affect any machine that takes fk-1152 fuser but maybe kyocera quietly fixed it.
Does not seem so if I have the issue in four machines and even a replacement fuser I once ordered before finding the solution.
