    Kyocera SSD Issues

    Hello,

    Anyone else having issues with SSDs failing? We've replaced four so far, one on a TA3553 and three on TA358s in the past month. It seems all this is happening after updating to the latest firmware.

    I'm interested in hearing the symptoms that lead you to this repair, could you elaborate a little more on what you're seeing?

      Sure, on the 358, we only got Machine Failure [C0680: SSD error] that would only display a black screen with an error code in red when turned on. The 3554 was giving an F906 and took about 30 mins to get past the welcome screen. Tech support suggested replacing the Main PWB, which did nothing.

      It wasn't until I put in a new SSD that everything started working again.

        Fortunately we have not experienced any of those symptoms, but we will keep our eyes peeled and post feedback if we do!

          I don't recall replacing any. We're a relatively small dealership with 800-900 machines mangaged under service.
