i dont know this machine but as i can see there is only 1 motor for the 3 color and your code looks like that motor dont run

I dont know if its possible but the first thing i ll try is to operate the machine with 1 imaging unit then 2 then 3 and check if this motor run

    good luck !

I guess my question would still be--can the imaging units be taken out of the machine without damage being done to the drums? The owners manual seems to be pretty careful about not having the imaging units in the light.

      Thanks!

Yes the image can be removed

Would remove one at at time shake them and reinstall

have had OEM do the same on installed

Just keep level when you install them

        good luck

have you tried putting the old ones back in to see if the error code goes km are very funny when it come to putting other brands in the machine if you dont get the error with the old ones then you know the new ones are no good

I took out, shook, and reinstalled all the new imaging units and still had the error code.

So I took all the new imaging units out and put the old ones back in. I still have the error code.

              Any other ideas???

By the way, the old imaging units were still making copies, but it had fussed for a long time that they needed to be replaced soon, so I decided to just go ahead and do it. So I don't think the old ones are completely shot yet.

                      VICTORY!

I never cease to be amazed that such small things can fix big problems.

The place where I bought the imaging units said to manually turn the paddle on the bottom right at the back end of the imaging unit to make sure it wasn't stuck from shipping. I did that on all of them and it didn't help.

When I turn the copier on, before it even warms up, is when the error/malfunction screen comes up. And everything stops (fans, etc). Every other time I just turned the machine off. Sure, I unplugged it, etc.

Instead of turning the machine off I just opened the front door, then closed it, and---everything started humming. The error disappeared, it warmed up, and everything is good to go!

                      Praise the Lord!

Thanks for your help and input. Maybe this simple procedure would work for other errors? Seems like all it did was clear the error or did a simple reset.

                      Thanks again!
