    Prescribe Macros

    Greetings

Does anyone know if you can transfer overlay data from one kyocera printer to a newer Kyocera printer? Can you just take the SD card from the Current one and install it in the new one?

    Thank You in advance

Does Kyocera make a program to quickly pull settings and transfer to new machine? (copytechnet.com)

Typically yes, if the Macro is already on an SD card it should work without issue in the new machine. You just need to determine how the Macro is being called. If it is within the driver and you are using the same exact driver then you should be good. If it is being called through one of the lp ports you will need to copy that information over to the new machine. Depending on the machine model you are coming from and going to there could be slight differences due to architecture changes. The ease of transferring the macro from one machine to another is a really good reason to store macros on SD cards and not the HDD / SDD; if the form is stored there you will not be able to retrieve it.

Thank You for the reply. I will try see where the calls for the macros come from.

        Thanks again
