    Triumph Adler DC 2080 ( Kyocera KM 8030) firmware upgrade

    Hi

    After beeing unsuccesfull to connect the copier to a Mac computer with
    Leopard OS, for scanning, i tried to upgrade the firmware of the copy machine to have the SMB service enable . The upgrade was successful, but when i try to enable SMB in the U 512 service mode, the machine
    beep ( two time) and the SMB option still " Off", what is wrong ?

      Perhaps your IB-23 scan card is dead. Are you able to scan to FTP or email? Have you tried a U504 initialize scan card?

      Be sure to write down or backup any settings or addressbook entries, because they will go "poof!" gone. If the scan card is locked up you may not be able to access any of that.

      Curiously, I must have an old version of the manual, because it does not show U512. Good Luck =^..^=

      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.

          I had an issue with the scanner card on one of our machines. (NS30). I had to upgrade the firmware on the NS30 card using IBVERUP... in order to use the SMB feature on the KM-6030...

              Thanks Kyoceradude, i think you're right ! I have to do the same for a DCC 2520. I ignored that the scanner on those machines has
              to be upgraded from a computer.

                  Another thought: Is Enterprise Mode enabled? If Enterprise is on Scan to SMB is not possible. The explanation that I got had something to do with shared resources...
