FS1118 lock up

I have an FS1118 when switched on goes into warm up, fuser works, fans drive and main drive all work. The problem is that boot up screen freezes about 30% of the way through and machine will not come to ready. I am unable to get into maitenance mode. I am thinking main pcb, anyone got any suggestions ?

I happened on several machines, first test module firmware and if not start change the main pwb that costs more than machine
a big shit if the machine is not in warranty
