Yes the speed of the display is a disaster everytime you get the disc on your screen the machine is actually writing to its HDD. Can't wait for the software update.

It is going to take alot more than a software update to speed these things up. I do not thing they will increase the speed.

          Kyocera Falcon 3 machines

the update only marginally increased the speed by maybe 3 seconds, do not expect a miracle on this one........Duke

that is a common complaint about these machines so far... the memory is sufficient, the problem is that every movement is accessing the HDD, much like a PC, so it is a lot slower than what most customers are going to be used to using. We have one in our shop here as a demo, but have not really been pushing them much, mainly due to the response speed. Hoping for a firmware update soon that may speed things up.

Any suggestions as to where to get the memory...some guy suggested memory experts, where did you get your upgrade..I heard Kyocera wants 300 Bucks for it in the USA. Memory Experts International when I called them said it was only $75 with a lifetime warranty? Let me know if you have any other suppliers.

                Thanks

I heard from our Tech Rep on Wednesday that there will be two waves of firmware upgrades. One will be before the Kickoff in Vegas, in April, with the second to follow. Main things addressed are the speed of display and also moving things around on the display to make them less confusing. I'll let you know.

Someone let me know when that upgrade is available. Also I did upgrade the machine with the 512MB memory and it has helped the panel alot. Also it has opened up the 600 x 600 dpi full color scanning option.

                          Not a bad option

Just got an email from KMAconnect and the new firmware and tech bulletin are out. I guess I will be in the showroom on Monday to see what the results are.
