Are you sure its C650 as its not stated in service manual. The only one similar is c6050 and it related to
    Abnormally high fuser unit thermistor
    temperature
    The fuser temperature exceeds 230
    C/
    446
    F for 40 ms.

    Causes :
    Shorted thermistor.
    Broken heater control
    circuit on the
    power supply
    PWB.

While there is no code C650 in the manual, there are codes C0610 and C0630 that point to a memory/main board issue. Try reseating the DIMMs on the main board and maybe unplugging and reseating all the connectors on the main board. I would tell you to update the firmware as well, but if you don't have access to a manual then you probably don't have access to firmware files (or parts for that matter, next step would be to replace the main board).

      Good luck...

          Does it have a fax?

If Kyocera are like Canon, error codes are the same regardless of the machine type.

            ????

What was that about? The CS-1635 is not made by Canon and none of the error codes are the same.

It would help to get the real error code for diagnostic purposes. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
            1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
            2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
            3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
            4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
            5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

I don't think he meant that Canons have the same error codes or have anything to do with Kyocera, just that error codes are the same (or at least similar) between different models from the same manufacturer.

I'm sorry for any confusion caused by my post, as cboucher has explained on my behalf.

Whos to say the OPs error isnt correct, just because its not in the manual. We've had problems with the Taskalfa's in the workshop, some giving errors that are not explained.
