    FS-C1020MFP

Just curious if anyone had experience on the Ricoh version of this product already. Looks to be an Aficio SP C222SF ? Are they reliable ? (not sure if it's new to Ricoh also) They're sure at a good price point !! Thanks for any input.
    Hope that helps !

backbreaking slow on first copy and eats lots of toner. cheap to buy, costly to run, and it's not even a ricoh, it's a brother as far as i know. this is not a smart choice by kyo, and crashes totally with all that they stand for. is it really that hard to integrate a cheap ass 5 buck scanner on a fs-c5100 or 5015?

I checked a bunch of copier manufacturers and only saw this on the ricoh site. Do you know what Brother model it is?

It reminds me of Kyocera's faxes. They're rebranded Panasonics with an all-in-one drum/toner unit with horrid cost-per-copy, even compared to an 1820. I think Samsung faxes have lower cpc.

I've been hoping for the 1820 scanner and adf on top of a FS-4020DN. Maybe we'll get one based on the C5200DN after the C1020 gets replaced.

don't think brother sell them under their own name, and the reason i wrote brother was because we had an early version of the former, sp210, and the driver/bloatware cd that came with it still had brother on menues etc. tonercart also look the same as brother. (and they last a whopping 2000 pages. yay).

the f1060 is a pana uf8000, and is a very good fax. has separate toner/drum. the f650 is a dx-800 with all-in-one as you said. paper mag is from ww1, and it's slow. i have nothing bad to say about panefax, as long as you use them as faxes only. print is so-so, but the scanner really blows, mainly because the software included are made by monkeys with downs syndrom.

a 1820/fs-1118 scanner and adf on a 4020 and one for fs-5400 and maybe even 5100 would be great. rumour has it that the c1020 is just until kyo can mash up their own. i'm not so sure. (same goes with the large toshiba/ricoh colour mfp's kyo sell rebranded in some countries: just until kyo develop their own)

but seriously: it takes 30 sec before your first copy comes out IF it's warm from before. from standby we're talking a good minute. 2000 yield on toner and a mountain of supplies piling up is just not like kyo at all. why bother?
