    KM-1635 whit code A4200

    Greetings to all.

I will be straight. I dont own SM of this machine and this code isnt explained in sm of 1620.

Costumer explained to me that he was able to print from 1 to 10 pages then this code would pop up, now it is shown when u turn the machine on and u cant print anything. I reconnected the cables of all PWB's and this didnt help.

When i tried to search for this code i got explanation that this code is code of laser unit. I didnt check the laser since i wanted to consult whit techs on copytechnet!

Can someone please pinpoint me to the right direction! THANK U !

Try the main charge first. I've seen it cause laser codes, and it's easy and cheap to replace.

If the laser unit starts making noise before the code is shown it's defective. It is a common problem on the 1620/1635/1650 series.

I've changed a CS-2050 laser, but that was the only one in 2 years.
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
                1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
                2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
                3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
                4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
                5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

That was and probably still is (last one I changed was a couple months ago on a 1650) a common problem with this series. Kyocera even went as far as accepting defective LSUs for return. That period is over now, but still get that problem occasionally. I've replaced maybe 10 of them or so in the past two years or so.
