    kyocera 5050 dp 70

Having a problem with the document feeder on a km5050.
When you do 2sided to 2sided coping the image scanned in the feeder
results in a negative image on the copy. I have upgraded to latest firmware. Checked all the connectors on the pwb's on the df. checked
all the connection's from the df to the main pwb on the machine. When
the original is scanned you can see the lamp on the cis unit come on.
Copying from the glass platen dupex.. or bookcopying dulex.. copy is fine.
    Any idea's would be welcome..

What do you mean by negative image??
When you do normal single sided copying from the DF is it ok???
If it is it could be to do with the second slit glass used to scan the reverse of the sheet in those DF's.

Are you are talking about true negative images from the CIS in the document processor? Is the machine set up to scan (with the same results)? This sounds to me like an image processing issue, meaning main PWB. A bad CIS would give you black bands or whole solid black pages.
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Thank's for the reply guy's.. A single sided original is fine. 2 sided original
has the side scanned by the slit glass is fine. however the side scanned
by the cis in the doc feeder.. The copy has any black information in white
and the white parts of the original turn out dark gray on the copy.. The
machine is a stand alone copier.

Hi djq2,I had a problem just like this one.As you said copying from the glass is fine and single sided coyping from the adf is ok but when copying from the feeder using the cis for 2 sided to 2 sided copying the image fault shows up.It turned out it was the loom from the cis in the feeder to the machine.I'm sure this will sort out your problem too

thank's for your imput regarding the dp problem. Iman was correct when he suggested that the loom connecting the dp to the machine. that indeed was the fault.
