    5050 wierdness!!

You put the test target on the glass and it looks fine. You print the status page and it looks washed out.

    Any ideas?

EcoPrint? We have a salesman that is forever turning this On, then bitching about not being able to read the prints.
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Since the status page appears washed out your looking at an image formation problem. But because a copy looks acceptable, I would believe someone has been playing around with the Sim settings.

My first plan of action would be to go through each Sim setting and set it back to the default listed in the manual. You can then start troubleshooting from there (if you need to). I can't tell you how many times I have been called in on a problem only to find out that a setting(s) was changed to do a "quick fix" rather than replace a componet and it never gets logged on the machine report.
