just installed on of these babies a few weeks back,
the customer wants to restrict certain ppl from printing color, and set-up user codes etc.
i'm not too sure about all the software stuff, i'm more of a hardware guy.
what would need to be done to set-up all this stuff.
can it be done through the command centre, or is there other ways?

This can be done thru the Job Accounting feature. Info starts on page 11-10 of the operation manual. Havn't played with the Command Center on the T/A yet, so not sure there.

Don't know why

It cannot be done through the web page. The easiest way to do it is download KM Net for accounting to a PC. It's much easier to add all the accounts, limit color & even set count limits with the utility.

to restrict printing, its easier to go thru the print driver to restrict this. i set this up a couple of months ago and it works like a charm.
