    KM 2530

What are the most likely causes for skewing copies. It is the same from all paper feed sources. Also what would cause the copies to look like they are copies of copies when using a new test pattern. Copies look like I made the copy from the copy???
    Thanks!!!

Left cover not latching all the way, slightly ajar?
But I'm trying, Ringo. I'm trying real hard... to be the Shepherd.

Could be several different causes; do you get a skewed image when you print out a status report, or only when copying from the glass or DP?

Left door not latch corectly could definetly cause that. I've seen a Tech mess with all the characteristics of the main board, causing crooked copies, bad print quality, margins were off and center line from feeder and the machine were all out of wack. Were you the first one on this machine? I would start with basics like the previous person that replied to your post.

If the side door is ok, make sure nothing is hitting the paper check all copies on all draws for tap marks or folds. Stop the copier before the paper exits and before the fuser, make sure the copy is square before the fuser. Also the 2530 is known for the draw guides to move and have to be screwed in. They brake when customers install paper and is slamed in the machine. Does this happen in the Bypass tray?

P.S. Check your transfer roller as well... could cause copy quality problems and crooked copies.

I have seen when you open the left side cover and you check out the 4 white rollers, there is a new updated assembly for that whole section that should be in the Falcon 2 bulletins. That part will work in the Falcon 1s. If you look at the new style and the old, the new style only uses 2 white rollers. This update was done for skewing and wrinkling copies.
