    KM 5050 CF620 code

Got a customer who has twin Km5050's sitting in two separate offices. One they have 0 issues with, the other gets a regular CF620 c-code, requiring the machine to be powered down and rebooted.
Now, I've looked up all the info I could find and this is what I've learned so far.
the CF620 code was added with a firmware update so it's NOT in the service manual, and it says that there is a possible issue with the DRY-DIMM (?) and a call to tech support came the intructions "reseat the Dimm"...
Also someone on here posted that the code meant a firmware upgrade was required. Except I HAVE updated the firmware to ver 27 and still have the issue.
Site number 3 stated that it's a translation problem between Mac OSX's print preview to the Kyocera, so basically a PostScript translation error. Now THIS makes sence... because printing to the KM5050 from my XP laptop I have done 40 some odd print jobs without an issue, but when the teachers print from their OSX 10.5 laptops, we see the CF620 code.
Left the customer the newest drivers for OSX and asked them to update all their computers and test, going back today to see if reseating/changing the DIMM will help anything.
If anyone has ideas please post, if I/We can fix this I'll be sure to post a full solution for anyone else having this issue.

Ok, well we updated the drivers for the customers computers, reseated the RAM on the main board, the DRYDIMM on the main board, and the DRYDIMM under the panel, blew it out with some air and... no more problems!
Dunno but it's working so the customers happy...

If you are referring to the operation panel DIMM, and continue to have problems, there is a new style panel that has the DIMM incorporated into the operation panel PCB.
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

          Re: KM 5050 CF620 code

Caught this today with a Falcon 3.

What I found is if you reboot the machine with connection to Windows server, ghost jobs starts to appear but not printing. If you reboot without connection to the server, no errors.

I have it attached to my laptop as well, no ghost jobs.

This is the 2nd time I caught it, first time I had thought it was from a Mac(lol) but that was ages ago.

Seems to be Windows Spooler choked up on something and you wont see anything in the print queue either, entirely a glich.

This is what you or the IT could do: Run Services (or services.msc at command line), go to Printer Spooler and restart it. Error should go away.

doesnt mean the issue is resolved 100%, this is a valid alternate solution. Voyager suffers from the same problem, Win 7 kept pushing gliches and the color machine doesnt know how to shut it up. (just had one today)

              Restarting printer spooler solved it.
