This machine has scan on it. They can only scan 14 pages before it says that is all that it can take. Even though it says only 3% of the memory is used. I have had this very thing somewhere else but cannot for the life of me remember what setting I changed. any help? Thanks

Exactly what kind of scanning are we talking about? SMB, FTP, email, TWAIN?
If it is indeed email, the largest practical file size for an email attachment is 20MB. Like aragul says, the default email attachment size setting is "Low" = 1MB. If the scans are monochrome at 200 dpi, 50KB per page is a good average. If the scans are color at 200 dpi, 200KB per page is a good average. So at the low size setting you can expect 40 pgs monochrome or 10 pgs color. At 20MB limit, you can expect to get 400 pgs monochrome or 100 pgs color. If you start increasing the dpi it radically increases your resulting file size. This limitation is set in the scan settings of the web interface.
If you need to scan larger file sizes than 20MB, you'll need to set up SMB or FTP which do not limit file size. It just takes longer with larger file sizes. If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

I agree. I don't think that it's accessible from the MFP's control panel. You'll have to access the web interface. If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
