They are great machines. The operation panel is a little low and the doc feeders are a little lightweight but the machines are very relaible and will be money makers for you.

We've had several laser issues with this model. Also, make sure you have a MK-410 drum in stock for replacement. Customers have a tendancy to do the old reach in for jam removal and damage the drum. Otherwise not to bad of a machine.

Yea its a good box, i tell my customers not to bother cleaning the charge assy, too many damage the charge assy's or the drum unit, but all in all you should have no real issuse with these machines.

            KM 2050

These are great little machines, just have to keep them clean and they will work well for you, also install with a good power isolater or protection cord. It weill save you some grief.

The biggest problem with those machines in the fact that the maintenance kits always seem to be on back order from Kyocera. Other than that, not a lot of problems.

                    KM-2050 Finisher..

There is a Finisher which mounts on the Left side of the machine (I believe is the DF-78, not sure) If that is the one you mean by internal, I have heard from techs in the company I work for that they're a piece of crap, otherwise, as stated above, it is a nice little machine, just instruct your customers not to clean the MC Grid (And/Or not to install the Grid Cleaner that comes with the Toner Cart)

I had more problems with the Internal Finisher than anything else on these.

Had a couple drum units that were warped, so they wouldn't slide into place. I've also seen a few (new) damaged fusers - broken heaters. At one point, Kyocera manufactured the cover with the blue toner cartridge lock the wrong size. I had to take pictures of the original and the part they sent next to a ruler to prove it. They sent the lot of them back to Japan.

There's a squeak that can occur due to pressure on the drum unit.
Did I have a dream, or did the dream have me?
