KM 5050 line on envelopes and compliment slip

Line going from front to back. Line is closer to trail edge.
Only happens on envelopes and compliment slips.
    Any Ideas

Is the MP tray set to the appropriate media such as envelope and I assume that the compliment card would be cardstock? And I'll assume that this does not occur with plain paper. Have you tried other types of envelopes and cardstock?

You'll see this sort of thing any time your feeding stock thats a bit too heavy for the machine. When the leading edge of the media hits the fuser nipp it hesitates, creating a delay blur the exact distance from the imaging point on the drum to the fuser nipp. Compare for yourself.

This particular machine does not offer you adjustments of the fixing pressure. Even if you could, it would only be a partial fix. Once fixing pressure is reduced (narrower nipp width) for the envelope stock, then normal 20# media would not fuse properly. Does this machine only feed envelopes and cardstock? I think not.

Most Sharp, Canon, and HP machines have an 'Envelope' pressure setting for the fixing pressure. Kyocera Mita didn't think of that.

It's just as well. How many times have you gone out on a poor fusing call, just to find that some enduser had been fiddling with one or both of the fixing pressure levers? On many of the Sharp machines I just removed them entirely. The operation required too much concentrated though from my endusers. They would do the same thing again, and again, and again...
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
