    KM 1820 c6000 error

I usually work on Sharp and HP but we have this 1820 in the field is there a service code or simulation to reset this code? Im told its a fuser error and I need to try resetting it first then probably replace?
    Thanks

Fuser reset: Press 'system menu/counter' key, select 'service setting', then while pressing 'start' and '#', press 'enter'. Select 'Maintenance mode', then press 'enter'. Enter '163' using the up/down keys, then press 'enter'. Turn machine off to exit Maintenance mode. C6000 indicates fuser did not come up to temp in the allotted time; you 'may' have a bad heater lamp if code reappears. Good luck.........

          Hey,

I have the same Problem on a KM 1018-MFP. I guess solution is quite similar so I don't want to open a new thread. If I'm wrong with that just tell me.

          So here is the situation:
          My 1018-MFP showed the error
          "Fehler entdeckt
          Service anrufen
          C6000"

          Which means
          "Error spotted
          Call service
          C6000"

After having changed the Fuser unit the same error message appears on the display. The solution that was suggested here does not work because as soon as the error message is displayed the printer does not respond to any key pressed.

Thanks for your help in advance,
          Thomas

Turn off machine, open top cover, then turn back on. Press above keys to enter service mode. (leave top cover open)
