Fs-c1020mfp wont scan any longer than 14 inches

Just wondering if any body knows of a way to make these scan longer than 14 inches? I just sold one to a customer that routinely faxes an 8.5 x 17in credit application and the old machines didn't really care how long the originals were they would just print out on multiple pages on the other end but they would at least scan and send the document. As far as I can see these will only scan up to 14 inches but I thought before I have to go pick up the machine and take there old one back that I would see if anyone else knew of a solution?

Loren, I don't think they will. You might try posting that in Ricoh / Brother section as that's the original manufacturer.
