    5035 / DF71 3-hole punch alignment ???

How does one adjust the alignment top to bottom on the hole punch with DF-71 finisher, this machine I have in the shop is off about a full 1/2" top to bottom...

I don't normally wrench on too many Kyocera's, Thanks

    hole punch adjust

the only side to side adjustment is by opening the top door of the sorter and loosening two screws one each side of the hole punch and moving the unit to the front or back ,but i dont know if this will give you enough .
    hope this helps brian

      hole punch adjustment

The best way to adjust this is to move the attachment plate that the finisher hooks onto the machine with. The mounting holes are elongated for this purpose. Can be a bit of a pain to do, but it works.

yes, I was thinking of doing that but then saw that I would have to modify the lower slider finisher hook-up, as its slots only go vertical for latch leveling adjustment , and I need to move the finisher front or rear.
I measured today, it is off by 9.5 mm (3/8") which can easily be noticed when putting the 3-hole punch in a 3-ring binder.
I removed the cover and looked at the punch unit itself, it looks to be installed at a fixed place with no adjustment.
I will make it work one way or another I guess.

Think your looking at the wrong thing...

Check out the attached image. What you adjust is the silver plate that is attached to the MFP. The screw holes are slotted specifically for this adjustment.

I hate to bump an old thread but what happens if the punch is off after you maxed out the adjustment? We have a DF71U that will not adjust. BOOOOOO
