KM 2050 Forward fax through network

Hi all, have a customer with a KM 2050, up untill two weeks ago when they replaced thier server incoming and outgoing faxes would be forwarded to the scanner file utility to be stored on the server.
My problem at the minute is that outgoing faxes are stored, incoming however are not. The machine is set up properly but it has me buggered why it would send data for transmitted faxes but not for recieved ones.
The server is nothing special, basic small office server.
The fax defaults are set to print locally and forward the fax.
Scanner File Utility is the latest version.
Fax Address Editor settings are correct.
Firmware is up to date.
Kyocera have no more answers for me.
So I put it out to you guys, hoping that someone has seen something like this before.

the answer is simple.......this machine uses 2 ip address and cables to be able to network fax transmit and receive....one for the printer, and one for the scanner...fax transmits are sent to the system via the print connection using the network fax driver (which loads and executes like a printer), and then are sent out with the fax system via phone line...fax reception is handled by the scanner connection, as the scan system directs incoming faxes to the set destination folder....kyocera didn't answer that one for you?......either your network settings are not set up properly, the location is incorrect, or the scanner file utility is setup incorrectly, or there is a firewall or antivirus/internet worm protection software running where you need to add an exception.....I'd check all these items, especially the scanner ip etc. It sounds like print is set up fine if you are sending. How does the outgoing fax go to the server? Is that function set up on the computer side to save the entire sent file? I did not think that was a function of the 2050. Are you talking about a confirmation via email? Because the email connection settings are a part of the scanner system, but do not require folders to be set up and the sfu to be configured for scan to pc, or antivirus programs and firewalls to be bypassed. Ehh, maybe this will help narrow it down. Hope it helps...good luck!

This customer doesn't fax through the print driver, all incoming and out going faxes are done in the traditional way however the faxes are saved to a folder on their server as well as being emailed to the boss via the Scanner File Utility. Faxes they send are saved correctly to a folder and then emailed, however received faxes are printed but not sent to the scanner file utility.

What has Kyocera and myself stuffed is why it will scan normally (scan to PC) to the folder, scan to email, will save sent faxes but not recieved ones.
The answer will be something fairly simple but untill i find it it is very frustrating.

alright, check this.....ask kyo about this.....there are a couple folder options in further settings in the sfu that appear, and I'm tryin to work from memory here, after you set up the fax drivers.....you have to install the network fax disk.....anyway....there is a tx and an rx folder...... those folders have to be clicked on and opened properly for each operation for rx to be forwarded properly..... I can't remember where exactly...I think it was in "futher settings" in the sfu when you open configuration.....ask kyo about these two folders if they don't ring a bell....tx may be associated correctly but if the rx folder was not done properly, it may not be being forwarded....I've seen it twice....anyway....good luck, let me know how it turns out, I'm curious

Finally got back to machine today, reloaded machine and fax firmware (again), initialised the fax 3 times in the 3.5 hours i was there, reseated the scanner card, and there were times I couldn't recieve a fax at all (the speaker would have a very short burst of modem noise then nothing), and when I did recieve a fax I couldn't use the "Alt Display" button to see the communication, I had no indication of communication happening but a page would be printed. Plugged another fax in (HP multifunction) and it would send but when receiving it would ring twice and then nothing. It was hour 2 by now and I was begining to suspect that there was something on the line answering before my machine could. Call to thier IT guy and yes, they plugged a fax modem into the server as a backup on the same line that they hadn't setup yet. Switched it off, sent a folds test, got my reply from telstra, I could see the communication happening on the screen and once it had finished it siad "Now transferring data to network fax" - there was a cheer from the next room because the boss got the fax as an email.

I suspect that the modem was to blame here, but there are a couple of things that don't make sense, like how can two devices answer and recieve the same fax but i'm not going to stress about that i'm just glad I can call the job off.

Yes, but no problems with the line untill the fax modem was hooked up to the server. Since then I have found out that the line is split to no less than FOUR outlets - 2 in office, 1 in managers office, 1 out back in their kitchen. I shook my head.
