    Km6030 scan to email problem

    Hello all
I could use some assistance on this one. We put all the correct smtp settings into the machine. When we try to store an email adress it shows up on the web page, however when you go back to the copier the display name does not show up, and can not select any of the #'s. I am not sure if I am missing a setting some where or what the deal is. The test to the SMTP server suceeds just fine. Any suggestions?? Thanks.
We did also save an FTP adress and it worked fine, I am lost.

The name should show up under the Addressbook key, not directly on the first screen. A common mistake with scan to email is to forget to set up a default sender address. It will not scan to email without some sort of default sender address assigned. It does not have to be a valid email address, just the correct domain, i.e. scanner@copytchnet.com

If the address is still not appearing on the Addressbook key, you can perform a U504 scan card reset, then re-input all your values. If that doesn't work upgrade the IB23 scan card to version 1.4.11 (the most recent version of the scan card firmware), then re-input your values again. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Make sure you have a sender in the sender list, then you are able to access the destination list

Make sure you are working on the scanner IP and not the printer IP. The KM-6030 uses the old style scanner interface not the Command center. Hopefully this is helpful.
