TaskAlfa 420i locking up in sleep mode?

Having a problem with this happening maybe 3 times a week but customer is sure it happens more on monday morning, the machine is in sleep mode and the customer sends a print job and the power button flashes but never actual prints it just sits there and keeps flashing until you power the machine off. It will not come out of sleep mode by pressing the power button. I have only been able to catch the problem one time. Turned machine off/on and it worked fine. Has lastest firmwear version on it. Kyocera support advised to replace power supply pcb, which I did, still having issue. Wall voltage is fine, but to be safe gonna plug into another outlet to see if problem follows it. Any suggestions?

    Questions:

Is this on a large network through a server...if so there may also be an issue with the server.

Is it only one user on the network that this occurs with? May be a driver issue depending on what program they are trying to print out of.

And the server itself. We had some issues around here with a Citrix server that there is I believe a bulletin about.

Good to be able to help soemone from the Promised Land(Go Vols!)

You sure it has both Main and Options firmware packs up to date? They change on a weekly basis lately...Ver 10 for main...pages of updates.

Thanks for the replys, yes main and options are up to date, it happens to all users and yes on a large server but, I have Isolated the problem, at least I think I have. No call backs since I swaped wall outlets, not sure if something goofie going on with it, have no monitor I can plug into the suspected outlet to see if something is going on with it. If I have anymore problems I will post it here. Thanks again, Yea Vols in a bowel game but I wont hold my breath on a win lol!

Since my last post we have had usb problems on kyocera 4420 and our sales guy discovered that in windows control panel there were usb options that sleep mode could be disabled...our customer couldn't print intermittently after pc woke up

Yes I think it's the Toilet Bowl!
I have found they usually win if I don't watch. Except Vandy. Most highschool teams can beat Vandy.

i have a TA 500ci doing this same thing, their IT says they have swapped cables and switches/ports and the machine will not come out of sleep mode. they have to turn it off and on to restore. were you having power outlet issues?

I know its been a while but to make a long story short the problem machine is in our shop, and for the past week has not had a problem. I put another version of firmwear supposedly the latest and greatest. Also restored factory default setting in svc mode 002, initialize memory svc mode 021 and format hard drive svc mode 024. To recape the problem, the machine would lock up with any print job sent to it in sleep mode regardless of program ( I was using wordpad) but not every time. I am going to keep the machine in the shop for one more week for testing purposes to see if this solved the problem, again not sure what may have fixed it but so far this is promising but the next week hopefully will tell. I will keep you posted.
