    [Error Code] KM 3060 Firmware

    Hi, Ive just replaced the HDD on the machine and it worked fine. However i was told to update the firmware as well. This caused the machine to display a cfb30 error code. I re installed the firmware and noticed that the display cpu part had failed. Ive had something similar before with these machines and usually downgrading the firmware works. However things are never that simple.!! Ive been on the KM website and there are no old firmware versions available. The machine has version 80 on it but i think i need version 50 or older to recover the machine. Can anyone point me to somewhere i can download it please. Thank you.

      Did you upgrade all firmwares with new version.(main PWB, engine PWB, scanner PWB and MMI)
      EXP:you upgrade main PWB and didnt upgrade MMI it will give you CFB30.
      MMI for Panel CFB30,CFB31,CFB32=Communication error between Main PCB and Panel PCB
      This error may show when there is poor contact of Panel DIMM against this socket or
      failing to upgrade firmware.

          randula is correct.
          1) clean the op panel DIMM contacts with Electrokleen or pencil eraser or alcohol. Attempt firmware reload.
          2) replace op panel DIMM. Attempt firmware reload.
          3) replace main PWB. Attempt firmware reload.

          If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
          1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
          2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
          3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
          4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
          5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

              There are 2 different versions of that OP panel PCB. The new version does not have the DIMM. Refer to tech bulletin CS-2560/3060-04 for more information on reloading OP panel firmware. We just went through this here. There is a boot switch on the newer style that needs to be flipped in order to fully load the firmware for the panel.
