The user guide says to press the "register" button while in fax mode to set up the fax header information. However, when I press register, no menu appears on the lcd, the copier just beeps. Any ideas? I contacted cs support but they were no help. I updated the fax firmware. Faxing otherwise works, both ways.

Try a U600 fax initialize, then try again. =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Is the "door/flap" activating the switch correctly? I have seen them broken or dislodged so that the switch is not activated and the panel is confused on what functions you are trying to use.... just a thoughtComment
