    Kyocera 2126 Scanning

I have a 2126 that I can not get to scan to folder. It's on a tcp/ip network. I can see the machine in commmand center. I can ping the machine. I can from the desktop to the 2126.. I can setup a ftp & smb profile in command center. I created the host with the computer name, also used the ip address, no luck. I have the folder on the desktop shared out, permissions, ect..its making me crazy

Am I missing something? Do I need other software? Can someone post the step by step procedure,

    Thanks

Your fully shared path might be the problem. You might not be seeing the correct full path.

Delete the shared folder "OFF" the desk top and put it in the C:\, D:\ or E:\ root directory.
You will have to setup full sharing an permissions again on the new folder if you delete it.

After the scan system is up and running drag and drop the C:\"shared-folder" back onto the desktop as a shortcut only.

Thanks guy's. I am returning to the account later today and will try to re-configure again. I did set up the scan folder in the root directory of c:\ I shared it out, gave it permissions.
In command station I configured the FTP settings. I tried populating “host” with the desktop name which I acquired thru hostname in dos. I also tried to give it the IP address.
I then tried the path as c:\scan, scan, and c\scan This is the 2nd 2126 I have tried to set up without success.

        Thanks

If you're scanning to a folder it's SMB.
          Hope that helps !

If you have worked on Ricoh the WIM address book "Host /IP is done with the configuration "\\domain\IP.?.?.?\folder" on one line.
You may be having some confusion as Kyocera use 2 lines the Host/IP configuration Hostname or IP "IP.?.?.? only, while
the path and folder goes on the line below the host name.

            [Examples]
eg. Ricoh | Configuration | Address Book
            \\192.168.1.100\Scans [Host or IP]
            {SPC232SF have change the above rule slightly.}

            eg. Kyocera | Commands| Basic |Address Book
            192.168.1.100 [Host or IP]
            Scans [Path and Folder]

Yes that will do it ... I have seen customers overlook Nortons AV/FW from time-to-time.
