    Taskalpha 300i finisher issue

I'm new to Kyrocera's but want to know if the DF-760(B) is the correct finisher for a 300i? This is for a new install and when I plugged in the 2nd finisher and got the same error "there is a problem with the stapler....." I wondered if there is some minimum firmware or wrong configuration or missed something on the setup?

      If it's a CS-300i, you can attach a DF-670(B) or a DF-780(B)
      If it's a CS-300ci, you can attack a DF-760(B) or a DF-780(B)

You always want to reload the firmware when adding an accessory. The machine will only update firmware for accessories that are currently attached, so any finisher firmware present will be out of date, and perhaps incompatible with newest versions of engine, main or MMI.

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Sorry, it's a Taskalfa 300ci with the external finisher DF-760.
Thanks Blackcat, I was hoping it would be something simple (and free) like firmware and not a $$$PCB. I'll try that on Monday and let u know.

          UPDATE -
The finisher is now working. I found a maintenance mode U906 that resets partial operation. I'm guessing it is similar to Canon's limited functions mode, anyway after executing this mode it booted up and everything was working fine.
